A journey beyond the ordinary, which combines the greatness of Himalaya as an experience of nature as well as a source of inspiration, with ancient healthcare according to Ayurveda.
Come and experience the health system of India and let yourself be inspired by the Himalaya, its beauty, its people and its festivals. I have arranged several journeys to India during the last 20 years with many happy travellers as a result.
The philosophy of Ayurveda is to help people to heal themselves from their own inner core.
What is the program of the journey ?
After landing in New Delhi we go by bus to Haldwani, one day travel up north. Here, by the foot of Himalaya, we stay a day or two before we proceed up in the mountains to Chilianaula Ashram and Bhole Babaji Ayurvedic hospital & Research center. At the altitude of almost 2000 m we will begin an inner journey and, with the help of Ayurveda Panchakarma, start to clean our bodies and souls during three weeks. Every day contains an ayurvedic consultation, specialised panchkarma therapies, ayurvedic satvik food, yogic exercise & Pranayama breathing and a meeting with your travel group for sharing, support and deeper insights.
Ayurveda is the ancient science of India to restore health, remain healthy and experience peace and total relaxation. Ayurvedic Panchakarma is a complex form of treatment with the aim of reaching balance and harmony in body and soul. Panchakarma focus on the individual person instead of her symptoms and are utilising her specific qualities and physiological make-up to bring forth healing. Instead of just treating diseases in organs and tissues it focuses on managing the "doshas", mans three biological forces, whose imbalance is viewed as the basic cause of sickness.
Between the 12:th and 21:st Oktober is the celebration of the Divine Mother festival "Navaratri" in Chilianaula Ashram, which is neighbour to the hospital. The new moon marks the start of a festival that attracts people from all over the world. This nine day celebration, in honour of the Cosmic Mother in all her forms, focus in prayers and praise of God in feminine form, using devotional singing, fire rituals and ceremonial worship. We have the possibility to participate as much as we like or are able to. This festival is a great source of inspiration for many people and the spiritual atmosphere it creates are beneficial to us during our cleansing and balancing.
After the treatment we will go back to Haldwani again. A night train will then take us back to a hectic New Delhi were we will spend our last days being tourists, shopping or just rest before the flight back to the western reality. But it will never be the same again after you've cleaned your body and soul and been revitalised in the greatness of Himalaya.
What are the costs ?
You pay me 1800 Euro(1700 Euro before 1:st of June) for an airticket from Helsinki with Finn Air, 3 weeks of Panchakarma treatment(including satvic food), water-purification drops and my guidance in the outer as well as inner reality. In India you pay yourself for domestic travels, board and lodging and ayurveda medicines depending on your state of health. For this you need an extra 600 Euro which you will pay in India. Before the trip you will have some additional costs for visa, vaccinations and travel insurance. If you arrange your own flight to New Delhi you have to be there latest on 29:th September. Book your homeflight not earlier than 28:th October. Then you deduct 800 Euro from the prize above which comes down to 1000 Euro (900 before 1:st of June).
